Puppy School with Lady & the Hound (Surrey and SW London)
Hello, I'm Imogen and I founded my dog training business 'Lady & the Hound' in 2017. I have been a Puppy School tutor since 2018 and I am a registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC). I am also a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and am fully insured.
Being surrounded by animals for most of my life means that I am at my happiest when working! I grew up looking after my own pet rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, cats and several family dogs (as a child, my parents would regularly find me asleep in our Collie’s bed when they came down for breakfast…she was good at cuddles!)
I live in Walton-on-Thames with my French Bulldog, Albert (a Puppy School graduate himself) and it was through my own experience as a puppy owner, whilst training Albert at Puppy School that I became interested in ‘reward based training’. Seeing the benefit of positive reinforcement during the course Albert and I did together, I decided I wanted to help share the merits of teaching these methods with other new puppy owners and so I trained to become a Puppy School tutor myself.
In addition to our Puppy School classes, Lady & the Hound offers a variety of follow-on courses for PS graduates to join as well as scentwork and Hoopers agility courses. We also offer private tuition and a range of exclusive puppy training packages to suit all budgets and requirements.
