My passion for animals has been life long, and I have been very blessed to have had a long career in the animal industry from rehabilitating and rehoming dogs for both large and small animal charities through to different roles within the Veterinary industry.
In 2003 my passion led me to Puppy School, and after an incredible 20 years of helping both puppies and their parents have the best possible start to their journeys together, I still love every minute!
I am a member of both the ABTC (Animal Behaviour and Training Council) as an Animal Training Instructor, and the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) membership number 01336. Continuing my professional development is a very important part of ensuring we offer the most up to date, ethical reward based training.
At home I share my life with three individually amazing dogs, a Border Collie (rescue), a Cavapoo (rescue) and a Papillon, as well as seven cats (5 of which are failed fosters from local cat welfare charities), my daughter and a husband (who thankfully are both massive animal enthusiasts too!).
Family is a very important part of my life, and Puppy School offers a family friendly environment where everybody is welcome to join in, have fun and learn alongside their newest addition!
We offer both group classes and 1-1 training options for puppies and their parents.
At our venue in Torquay we hold Puppy School classes for puppies under the age of 20 weeks (at the start of a course), as well as follow on courses for graduates of either Puppy School or our 1-1 training services.
Puppy 'Home School' 1-1 sessions are offered as an addition to classes (as a pre-puppy visit, support visit, or for additional training), as an alternative option to group classes, or for older pups who have missed the age limit for puppy classes.
Our group class sizes are kept small to ensure quality coaching.
