I began my Puppy School journey back in 2019 as an associate tutor for the North Somerset area. I have been very lucky to shadow some amazing puppy school tutors over the past 5 years before embarking on my own Puppy School business. Now, I’ve teamed up with the fantastic Amelia to start ‘Puppy Steps North Somerset’.

My love for animals, especially dogs has been a lifelong passion. Throughout childhood, whenever asked who my best friend was, I would proudly state that it was Ziggy, my childhood Weimaraner. Although my passion was always to work with animals, Life took me on a different path and I instead went into working with young people, many of whom had suffered from complex traumas. It was whilst looking at alternative therapies for young people that I stumbled across Animal assisted therapy, this discovery reignited my passion for working with dogs and the rest is history!

Over the past five years, I’ve been learning and growing my skills, and I’m excited to work towards my ABTC qualification. I’m also studying at university to become an Occupational Therapist, in the hope of one day combing my two passions and training assistance dogs to support vulnerable people.

We offer puppy school classes at two different locations across North Somerset. Our puppy school classes are designed to support owners with all the basics they need in those early stages of puppy life! Our classes are kept small to ensure quality usually being limited to 6 puppies at a time.
