Puppy School originally set out to become a UK network of puppy training tutors but since its inception, we have been contacted by many people overseas who are keen to learn the Puppy School techniques, benefit from the forum and join in with the training opportunities. Although Puppy School has no formal system for international members at present, some overseas trainers have been through our puppy training system and remain affiliated to us.

These include:

Iceland - Freyja Kristinsdottir

FreyjasmallerFreyja graduated with a veterinary degree in 2006 and moved to the UK in 2007 to work as a vet in Brighton. While living and working in the UK she decided to become a dog trainer, and started the Puppy School tutor programme. She became a Puppy School tutor in December 2009 and is now living in Iceland, introducing icelandic dog owners to reward based dog training without punishment.

Italy - Tiziana Dare

TizianaDare2Hello, I am Tiziana,

My love and passion for dogs led me to follow the path of behaviour and training of dogs. I have an HNC in dog behaviour and training from Bishop Burton UK, I am a member of APNEC (Italian professional dog trainers) with whom I also attended a course on basic dog training for adult dogs, I am an instructor and member of the Italian “Good Citizen dog training scheme” (Cittadino a 4 zampe) and from 2010 I am a tutor of Gwen Bailey’s Puppy School UK. I easily joined Gwen Bailey’s philosophy and way of training because I believe in reward based training as a way of improving the relationship between dogs and owners! See more about me at www.obbiettivocane.com

Tiziana

Italy - Pamela Giudici

pamelagiudiciI’m Pamela Giudici, I got my degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2010 and in January 2011 I moved to Lincoln UK, to work for a stage in Animal Welfare and Behaviour, Tutor Prof. Daniel Mills. During this period in the UK, I have done the Puppy School Tutor Course with Gwen Bailey and I became a Puppy School Tutor. In Italy, I am training to become a specialist in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine. I work as a Vet and I run adult and puppy classes. I think the kind techniques are the most effective in the education of both puppies and adult dogs and in a good relationship between dogs and owners.

Training for overseas tutors

If you are from outside the UK and are able to undertake our training programme (two weekend courses set approximately 4 weeks apart in either Spring or Autumn), please fill in an application form which you can access via the 'Tutor Vacancies' page.

Although the training course is designed for puppy training in the United Kingdom, and you will have to adapt the training to what is suitable for your own country, there should be enough useful information to make it worthwhile. We look forward to hearing from you.

Alternatively, Gwen Bailey is sometimes available to give the Puppy School Tutor Training course (6 days) in other countries if someone is willing to do the organisation. Please write to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
